WARSAW — Bailey and Addison Goon are both passionate about the activities they’ve completed during their time in Kosciusko County 4-H.
This is Bailey’s seventh year as a 4-H member, and she will be a sophomore. Her younger sister, Addison, is in her fourth year and will be going into seventh grade.
“(4-H is) something my parents did, and I thought it would be good for me,” said Bailey. “And it turned into something I really enjoyed.”
Addison said Bailey’s interest in 4-H motivated her to join.
The Goons also participated in the 4-H livestock auction earlier in the day on Friday, July 12. They couldn’t recall how much they made, but described their earnings as “pretty good.”
For 2024, Bailey said she received blue honors for photography and reserve grand champion for cake decorating. Addison also won several awards for her photography work, including reserve champion.
“It’s been a pretty good year,” said Bailey.
The Goons said they’re already looking forward to next year’s fair projects and shows.
