Published Photographer Opens Studio in Columbia City

COLUMBIA CITY — Columbia City High School grad and published photographer Michelle Goldwood brings her talents back to Whitley County with Goldwood Studios at 107 Hoosier Drive, Columbia City.
Goldwood Studios officially opened July 10. This is the second location for the studio; the first is in Indianapolis. Shoots are offered in studio or on location.
“My goal is to concentrate on empowerment and self-esteem through printed portraits,” says Goldwood, owner of Goldwood Studios. “We focus on capturing and creating your cherished memories. I want to assist everyone but especially women to help empower them and build their confidence.”
Goldwood picked up her first camera as a child. She received her first real camera in high school. That’s where her passion for photography started. She is a 1988 graduate of Columbia City High School.
Goldwood earned her Bachelor of Arts in fine and commercial arts at the University of Saint Francis and a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Beyond her formal education she continued her education in photography through workshops and becoming a proud member of Professional Photographers of America since 2011.
When it comes to personal branding for business and businesspeople, the studio offers yearly contracts to provide quarterly images for social media and marketing needs.
The studio offers a wide range of services from business and professional headshots and portrait experiences including tween parties, high school experience, senior portraits and boudoir portraits. Goldwood Studios offers complimentary consultations by appointment and will also provide a hair and make-up artist. Products include albums, folio boxes with portraits, wall art, triplex, acrylic blocks, personalize invitations, accordion albums, and more.
