Susan Hatfield

Susan Eileen Hatfield, 76, of Mentone (Palestine), passed away Friday, July 12, 2024, in Indianapolis.

Susan was born on July 13, 1947, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Stanley and Bonnie (Harter) Jagodzinski.

On July 14, 1973, in Warsaw, she married Robert Lee Hatfield, who preceded her in death.

Susan worked at MidWest Spring in Mentone for 20 years until she retired in 2009.

She was a 1965 graduate of Warsaw High School. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and quilting. She was an active member at Burket United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Ayers; son, Douglas (Stacey) Hatfield; grandchildren, Abbigail Ayers and Michael, Joshua, Megan and Andrew Hatfield; and one great-grandchild, Eris Hatfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; and sisters, Margaret and Kathryn Jagodzinski.

Family and friends will gather for visitation Saturday, July 20, from 3 p.m. until the time of her memorial service at 4 p.m. at King Memorial Funeral Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone.

The family has requested for anyone who would like to send flowers, please send sunflowers, as they were Susan’s favorite.
