ANSWER: JIM BUMBAUGH

Bumbaugh was born in Warsaw. He attended McKinley Elementary School through 2nd grade. He graduated from Columbia City Joint High School.

He served 12 years in the Navy, stationed primarily on ships home-ported in Japan and the Philippines. He was deployed to the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm.

He started his law enforcement career at Whitley County Sheriff’s Department as a reserve in 1998. Bumbaugh was hired as deputy marshal in Pierceton in 2003. He has served as the Pierceton town marshal since 2022.

He has three adult children: Sara, Grace and Andrew, and one grandson, Gabe.
