ELKHART COUNTY — SR 13 south of Millersburg will be closed for bridge work, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.

Starting on or after Monday, Aug. 12, crews will be working over the Elkhart River between CR 44 and CR 46. Work on the project involving a thin deck overlay is expected to last for about one week. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the approved detour of US 33, SR 15 and US 20 or seek an alternative route.

INDOT encourages drivers to slow down, use extra caution and drive distraction-free while traveling in and around all work zones.
