AKRON — The Tippecanoe Valley School Corp. is having a back-to-school open house for students at each of its schools on Thursday, Aug. 8.

That’s ahead of the first day on Friday, Aug. 9.

The open house schedule on Aug. 8 is as follows: Mentone and Akron elementary schools: 5-6:30 p.m.; Tippecanoe Valley Middle School, 4:30-6 p.m.; and Tippecanoe Valley High School, 4-5:30 p.m.

These events provide an opportunity for students to meet their teachers, familiarize themselves with their classrooms and drop off school supplies.

Additionally at 4:30 p.m. during the middle school’s open house, new TVMS Principal Kyle Wieland will be speaking.
