Crittendon Arrested For Allegedly Driving While Under The Influence
Staff Report
WARSAW — A Warsaw man was arrested after allegedly driving a vehicle while under the influence.
Tyler James Crittendon, 29, 2605 E. Center St., Warsaw, is charged with operating a vehicle with an alcohol concentration equivalent to at least 0.08 but less than 0.15, a class C misdemeanor; and operating a vehicle with an ACE of 0.08 or more with a prior conviction, a level 6 felony.
On Aug. 2, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to a single-vehicle accident near CR 450N and CR 100E in Warsaw. Upon arrival, the deputy found an unoccupied Chevrolet Silverado on its side in the roadway. Crittendon, the vehicle’s registered owner, then arrived at the scene.
According to court documents, Crittendon said he was driving the Silverado and purposefully accelerated his vehicle to burn the tires when he lost control. This caused the Silverado to spin off the roadway and come to a rest on its driver’s side.
The deputy noticed Crittendon was exhibiting physical signs of intoxication. Crittendon admitted to drinking alcohol prior to the accident.
Crittendon failed several field sobriety tests and a certified chemical test resulted in a 0.14% BrAC.
Crittendon was previously convicted of OWI in Huntington County in April 2020.
Crittendon has already been arrested and released on bond. He has a pretrial conference at 9 a.m. Sept. 16, in Kosciusko Superior Court Three.
