Girl Scouts Invite You To Unlock Your Friendship Era
News Release
FORT WAYNE — Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana are stepping into their “Friendship Era” by engaging in activities that encourage courage, confidence and character.
Every Girl Scout has their own curiosity, dreams and talents—so when they come together to decide which of the thousands of Girl Scout activities to try, the sky’s the limit. Each Girl Scout is given the chance to explore new ways to connect and grow, guided by the support of caring adult volunteers. The secret sauce holding it all together? Joy.
A recent GSNI-M membership survey reports that 75% of Girl Scouts have made new friends since joining Girl Scouts, and 83% of caregivers report that they chose Girl Scouts over other activity choices because Girl Scouts offers many different types of activities rather than focusing on just one thing.
During an upcoming Girl Scout recruitment event, your child will begin to unlock their Friendship Era by:
- Building Friendships and Skills: Hands-on activities that focus on friendship-building, like creating personalized friendship bracelets for themselves and to share.
- Strengthening Mental Health: Discover programs and activities that encourage self-expression, emotional awareness and empathy.
- Encouraging Family Involvement: Learn about Girl Scout events designed to bring families together to support their Girl Scout’s growth and development.
- Growing Volunteerism: Highlight opportunities for adults to become role models and help youth navigate the complexities of relationships.
Girls in grades K–12 are invited to embark on a journey filled with fun, friendship and new experiences. To find an upcoming recruitment event near you, please contact GSNIM-M at [email protected] or (800) 283-4812.
Interested individuals can join, and adults can become volunteers by visiting gsnim.org.
