WHITLEY COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation announces the closure of US 33 for a pipe replacement west of Churubusco.

Crews will be working between CR 550E and CR 650E starting on or after Monday, Sept. 16. Work is expected to last for approximately six days. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.

During the closure, drivers should use the approved detour of SR 9 and SR 205, or seek an alternate route.

INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
