Joshua James Monroe, 47, Churubusco, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2024.

He was born Jan. 20, 1977. His wife, Shelly (Becraft) Monroe, whom he married in October 2022, survives.

He also is survived by his daughter, Deja Monroe; two grandchildren; his stepdaughter, Fiona Nelson, his parents, Dan and Connie (Sinn) Monroe; brother, Nic (Chelsea) Monroe; sister-in-law, Julie (McCreary) Monroe; nieces and nephews; his ex-wife, Veronica (Smithson) Monroe; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
