Wagon Wheel Warns Public To Beware Of Ticket Scams
News Release
WARSAW — The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts is alerting the public to beware of ticket sale scams.
Scammers have been posing as the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts and cheating ticket buyers out of money, sometimes up to three times the cost of an actual ticket, according to the center.
Wagon Wheel has issued the following public service information to help people avoid these scams:
Purchase tickets only through Wagon Wheel’s official website or by calling the box office. The official website can be found at wagonwheelcenter.org and the box office number is (574) 267-8041. Purchases from the official website or box office ensure authentic tickets at actual price.
Wagon Wheel strongly advises against buying tickets from third-party vendors such as StubHub, Vivid Seats or other resellers. Tickets from these sources are often overpriced and may not be valid for entry, according to the center.
Unauthorized sellers frequently create fake websites that mimic Wagon Wheel’s official site, Wagon Wheel said. Tickets purchased from these sources can be for nonexistent seats or even be counterfeit.
If you’ve already purchased tickets through a third party, your tickets may be invalid. Wagon Wheel suggests you contact your bank for help and consider filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
