SYRACUSE — The Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce hosted an open house today, Saturday, Oct. 5, in its newly-remodeled office, located at 207 N. Huntington St., Syracuse. A ribbon cutting was also held in the morning.
Community members took the opportunity to engage with local business owners and explore the building, designed to better serve chamber members and the public.
The renovations included new siding, an expanded parking lot, landscaping, new flooring, and several interior upgrades.
Ashley Dillon, executive director of the chamber, said the remodeling work was done by donors — members of the community and local businesses. None of the work was paid for by the chamber, she said.
“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped,” she said. “Without them this wouldn’t have been possible.”
A bigger board room was also part of the interior renovations. It will serve as space for board meetings and for the community to use, Dillon said.
Another room will serve as a place for podcasts or other chamber activities. An outdoor space with seating is also available for the community to use. A new outdoor sign will be installed next week.
