Have a ‘Fall Tastic’ time at WACF Today and Sunday
News Release
SYRACUSE — What happens to the trees, bushes, flowers, and all the different animals when fall arrives, and winter is just around the corner? What happens in the lake as the temperatures drop and winter approaches?
Come find out the answers to these questions at the annual Fall Tastic Trail Walk at Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation, Syracuse, today, Saturday, Oct. 5, and Sunday, Oct. 6. The event will be from noon to 4 p.m. each day.
Trails will be decorated for fall and Halloween and educational placards will inform you about many things related to water and the fall season. Bring the children and grandchildren for a nice walk through the woods and wetlands. There will be refreshments in the pavilion for you and your dog; just be sure to have them on a leash.
Register at the pavilion, get a map or a scavenger hunt for the children, and head out for an afternoon adventure. It’s always a highlight of the WACF education team to put this together.
The event is free.
