Jay W. Esslinger, 89, formerly of Wabash, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, 2024, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Marion.

He was born March 29, 1935. His wife, Betty Jean Esslinger, preceded him in death.

He is survived by his children, Deborah S. Jackson, West Baden Springs, Jack W. (Donna) Esslinger and Jill A. (James) Smith, both of Wabash, and Joseph W. (Peggy) Esslinger, Converse; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
