Kosciusko County

Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office investigated the following accidents:

• 3:54 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, South SR 19, south of West CR 100S, Bourbon. Driver: Madison K. Grossman, 19, East Pearl Street, Mentone. Grossman moved her vehicle to avoid hitting a semi that came into her lane. Her vehicle hit a pole and went into a field. Damage up to $10,000.

• 10:41 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, East Pierceton Road, east of South CR 400E, Pierceton. Driver: Rowen Ponko, 20, Sharon Street, Winona Lake. Ponko’s tire clipped the pedal of a bike ridden by Bruce L. Kintzel, 33, Chestnut Street, Winona Lake. Kintzel’s bike didn’t have a reflector, rear red lights or a front-facing white light. The bike went off into grass and had a flat tire. Kintzel complained of ankle pain. He was later taken to the hospital. Damage under $1,001.
