Culver Man Arrested For Sexual Battery
Staff Report
DELONG — A Culver man was arrested for allegedly forcing a woman to engage in sexual activity without her consent.
Anthony Eugene Fields, 45, 6198 N. 900W, Culver, is charged with sexual battery, a level 6 felony.
On July 8, a Fulton County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to an assault in Delong. A woman said she gave Fields a ride when Fields allegedly exposed and inappropriately touched himself while in the vehicle.
According to court documents, while Fields was touching himself, he touched the woman’s thighs. The woman told Fields to stop multiple times.
Fields also grabbed a hold of the woman’s hair while she was driving and forced her head to his genital area. He also inappropriately touched the woman. The woman told the deputy she fought back during the incident and bit Fields.
In an interview with law enforcement, Fields said he remembered asking for a ride and was told by someone that the woman claimed he raped her. Fields told officers he would never do something like that.
Fields said he and the woman interacted in a sexual manner, but that he stopped engaging in the conduct when she told him to.
Fields was booked in the Fulton County Jail on Oct. 4.
