Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 2:08 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, Argonne Road, at the intersection of East Durbin Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael D. Hill, 61, West McClure Drive, Silver Lake; and James E. Plummer, 88, East CR 1200N, Syracuse. Hill stopped at the Argonne Road and East Durbin Street intersection, but did not see Plummer’s vehicle traveling south on Argonne Road. Damage up to $25,000.
- 12:57 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, North Park Avenue, at the intersection of East Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Zander C. Smith, 23, Us Highway 33, Goshen; and Alexander R. Brower, 27, 15th Street, Winona Lake. Smith was attempting to turn left to travel north on North Park Avenue. He stopped his vehicle at the intersection, but hit Brower’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 9:42 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, East Center Street, at the intersection of North McKinley Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Tristan R. Blair, 16, North CR 400E, Warsaw; and Dan Q. Wang, 51, South Honeybee Court, Warsaw. Blair stopped at the East Center Street and North McKinley Street intersection, but entered Wang’s path of travel. Damage up to $5,000.
- 8:44 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 1150 Husky Trail, Warsaw. Driver: Robert A. Vankirk, 85, East Old Road 30, Warsaw. Vankirk was traveling in a parking lot when he hit a concrete barrier. He sustained a cut to his left hand, but refused treatment at the scene. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:53 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, North SR 15, at the intersection of East Canal Street, Warsaw. Driver: Randy L. Cassell, 33, Oakdale Drive, Elkhart. Cassell was traveling south on SR 15 at a high rate of speed when he left the roadway, hitting a curb and causing his vehicle’s front passenger tire control arm to break. Cassell was later arrested for allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Damage up to $10,000.
- 7:50 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, US 30, west of Springhill Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Stefanie L. Kralis, 38, West Market Street, Pierceton; and William E. Southwood, 64, North Plum Street, Plymouth. Kralis was attempting to change her lane of travel when she hit Southwood’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:04 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, South SR 15, at the intersection of Kincaide Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dwight A. Sommers, 16, South County Farm Road, Claypool; and Jessamyn V. Rhymer, 34, West CR 250S Lot 23, Warsaw. Sommers was stopped at the SR 15 and Kincaide Street intersection and was preparing to turn left when he pulled out in front of Rhymer’s vehicle. Rhymer was traveling north on SR 15 at the time. Sommers complained of hip and leg pain. He was taken to a local hospital by ground ambulance. Rhymer complained of left wrist and right knee pain. Damage up to $25,000.

- 11:32 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, 2364 N. SR 25, Rochester. Driver: Dennis L. Kamp, 64, Rochester. Hit deer.
- 12:29 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, South US 31 and East CR 300S, Rochester. Driver: Sandra D. Briggs, 62, Westfield. Unspecified single-vehicle collision.
- 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, South US 31 and Southway 31, Rochester. Driver: Maria I. Perez, 48, Fair Oaks. Hit deer.
- 1:40 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, US 31 and East SR 110, Rochester. Drivers: Katie A. Hoekstra, 31, Elkhart; and Marlon E. Ordonez Colindres, 25, Rochester. Unspecified two-vehicle collision.
- 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, North SR 17 and West 75N, Kewanna. Drivers: Sadie V. Krider, 27, Kewanna; and David E. Weller, 82, North Manchester. Weller’s vehicle rear ended Krider’s vehicle.
