SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man was arrested for allegedly battering a woman.

Justo Ramirez Perez, 27, 201 E. Greenhaus Drive Apartment 33, Syracuse, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a level 6 felony; and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.

On Oct. 9, a Syracuse Police officer responded to a domestic dispute involving a woman and Ramirez Perez. Upon arrival at the scene, the officer spoke with Ramirez Perez, who said the woman was crazy and nothing physical occurred.

According to court documents, Ramirez Perez said he drank about 12 beers the previous night, and the officer smelled alcohol on Ramirez Perez’s person.

The woman said she was asking Ramirez Perez about something on his phone when he allegedly pushed her chest and kicked her stomach area. He also put his hands around the woman’s neck. A child was present during the altercation.

Ramirez Perez has already been arrested and released on bond.
