North Webster Community Public Library — Round Loom Scarf-Making Class Nov. 8

NORTH WEBSTER — Get cozy this season and join in for a two-part, round loom scarf making class at the North Webster Community Public Library. Whether you are a seasoned crafter or a beginner, this class is perfect for anyone looking to create a handmade scarf just in time for the cooler weather.
The first session will take place at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, with the second part following at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Participants will learn the basics of using a rectangular round loom to make a stylish scarf, guided by an experienced instructor.
Please note that participants must bring their own rectangular round loom, hook and yarn to the class. The class is free of charge, but registration is requested to ensure space. Register by calling the library at (574) 834-7122.
Weekly Library Events
The following activities are set to take place at North Webster Community Public Library. Attendees do not need to have a library card to participate in any of these events. All programs are free, unless otherwise noted.
Adult Events
New to email? Learn email basics at the library’s Beginner Tech email class happening at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1. This class will cover how to set up a Gmail account, send, receive and reply to emails, deal with spam and more. Register in advance by calling the library.
Teen Events
Teens and tweens in grades 6-12 are invited to stop by the library from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, for Teen Café. Hang out with friends, relax, enjoy snacks, make a craft, study, play board games or color. No registration required.
How well do you know pop culture trivia? Teens are invited to a Spooky Trivia night at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. Bring a team, pair up with someone or play solo. There will be prizes, snacks, candy and other activities. Costumes are also encouraged. Registration is suggested but not required.
Children’s Events
Baby and toddler story time will be happening at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. Join Miss Cathy for songs, stories and intentional play for children ages birth through 36 months. Wiggles are expected and visitors are always welcome.
Preschool story time will be meeting at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. Mrs. Pam will be sharing stories, songs, finger plays and crafts. For this special edition of preschool story time, the library is inviting all little readers to wear their favorite dress-up costume.
Before the regular story time, they will host a costume parade around the library, giving kids a chance to show off their outfits and celebrate in style. This event is geared toward children ages 3-6.
