Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
- 6:19 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, East Prairie Street, at the intersection of South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Antonio W. Ewing-Gates, 22, South Ironwood Drive, South Bend; and Jose S. Cervantez, 35, South West Point Drive, Warsaw. Ewing-Gates was backing his vehicle to make space for a U-turn when he hit Cervantez’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 5:32 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Drivers: Katie R. Devanathan, 28, Pheasant Ridge Drive, Warsaw; and Melinda A. Reinholt, 49, East CR 350N, Warsaw. Reinholt was attempting to make a right turn into a parking lot when her vehicle was hit by Devanathan’s. Devanathan said Reinholt was merging into the center turn lane and thought Reinholt was turning left. Damage up to $10,000.
- 4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, SR 15, north of Shelden Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Seth Parker, 26, North SR 15, Milford; and Dalton Raderstord, 25, Tippecanoe Drive Apartment C1, Warsaw. Parker’s vehicle rear-ended Raderstord’s. The collision resulted in Raderstord’s vehicle rear-ending a vehicle in front of him. The driver in front of Raderstord left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. Damage up to $25,000.
- 5:47 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, West Winona Avenue, west of Logan Street, Warsaw. Driver: Cameron H. Head, 24, North Old Farm Road East, Warsaw. Head’s vehicle hit a deer. Damage up to $5,000.
- 7:03 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, US 30, at the intersection of CR 200N, Warsaw. Drivers: Miguel A. Ortiz-Alvarez, 19, Frederick Street, Newaygo, Mich.; and James F. Griffin, 52, SR 81, Ada, Ohio. Ortiz-Alvarez’s vehicle had brake failure, resulting in his vehicle rear-ending the trailer on Griffin’s vehicle. The trailer on Ortiz-Alvarez’s vehicle broke and hit the rear of Ortiz-Alvarez’s vehicle. Griffin was stopped at a red light at the time of the accident. Ortiz-Alvarez complained of abdominal injuries and was evaluated by medics at the scene. Damage up to $25,000.
- 6:11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, North McKinley Street, at the intersection of East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kelly J. Nutting, 59, EMS B37 Lane, Warsaw; and Michael D. Moore, 38, East Canal Street, Winona Lake. Nutting was stopped at the North McKinley Street and East Center Street intersection and was slowly pulling into the intersection to watch for oncoming traffic. However, she realized her vehicle was out too far into the roadway and was about to be hit by an oncoming semi. She backed her vehicle into Moore’s, which was directly behind her. Damage up to $10,000.
- 1:18 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, SR 15, at the intersection of Lyon Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Lisa M. Rosenberger, 51, Northgate Circle, Rochester; and Matthew G. Carter, 37, South West Street, Milford. Rosenberger was attempting to change her lane of travel when she hit Carter’s vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
- 8:58 a.m. Friday, Oct. 25, North SR 15, at the intersection of East Center Street, Warsaw. Driver: Donald L. Derrick, 62, Scotch Pine Drive, Greenwood. Derrick cut a turn too sharply, causing the trailer on his vehicle to hit a pedestrian signal post. Damage up to $5,000.
- 1:44 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, 3334 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Roya D. Sanders, 40, Highlander Drive, Warsaw. Sanders was backing her vehicle from a parking space when she hit a parked, unoccupied vehicle. Damage up to $5,000.
