Hundreds turned out for the annual tree lighting ceremony in The Village at Winona on Saturday, Nov. 16.

WINONA LAKE — The annual tree lighting ceremony in The Village at Winona on Saturday, Nov. 16, saw a huge turnout.

There were various activities for families to do prior to the tree lighting, including meeting Santa Claus, enjoying free cookies and hot chocolate, making ornaments, and viewing holiday lights.

New and unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots were collected as admission into the event.

For this year’s ceremony, two students from Jefferson Elementary School, Layla and Joselyn, were selected to light the tree.
