David Kuhn

David Kuhn, a beloved member of the North Webster community, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at the age of 85. He was born on July 1, 1939, in Warsaw, to Harry and Jane (Jarrett) Kuhn.

David grew up in North Webster and graduated from North Webster High School, Class of 1957.

He went to work for GW Foods in Syracuse and would move to Bryant, Ohio, when Beatrice Food bought GW Foods and moved it to Ohio. After his retirement, he moved back to his hometown and married Marilyn Payton on Aug. 20, 1994.

David had many interests. He was a longtime member of the Saddle Club. He obtained his pilot’s license and owned a small plane. He loved to travel and went to Jamaica several times. He spent many cherished hours riding horses, embracing the great outdoors. In his later years, he worked for Sea Horse Inc. as videographer for horse shows. One of his greatest loves was his cherished 1957 Chevy Bel Air, which symbolized his appreciation for classic craftsmanship and design.

Throughout his life, David valued family and friendship. He is survived by his son, Scott Kuhn, of North Webster; his sister, Margo (Cecil) Kissinger; nephew, Mike (LuAnn) Kissinger; and grand-nephew, Tyler (Tori) Kissinger, all of North Webster; also raised as sibling sister, Golden (Cliff) Sherman, of Bennett, Colo.; and brother, JR Kuhn, of Goshen. David will be remembered for the love he shared and the memories he created.

David was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Payton, who passed in 2007; and his son, David Kuhn, who passed away in 2020.

David will interred alongside his wife, Marilyn, in the Leesburg Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
