Man Arrested In Two Kosciusko County Drug Cases

WARSAW — A man was recently arrested for two drug-related cases in Kosciusko County.
Willie Foster Jensen, 42, 722 E. Market St., Huntington, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with a prior dealing conviction, a level 4 felony; two counts of possession of methamphetamine, both level 5 felonies; two counts of resisting law enforcement and possession of methamphetamine, all level 6 felonies; two counts of driving while suspended prior, two counts of possession of marijuana with a prior conviction, and possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction, all class A misdemeanors; two counts of possession of marijuana, both class B misdemeanors; and two counts of possession of paraphernalia, both class C misdemeanors.
On Sept. 16, a Warsaw Police officer received a report about a possible suspended driver operating a vehicle. The officer found the suspect vehicle and identified the driver as Jensen, whose driver’s license was suspended.
According to court documents, while being taken into custody, Jensen told the officer he had drugs on his person. The officer found drug paraphernalia on Jensen, who also said he has a prior drug dealing conviction.
Upon searching Jensen’s vehicle, the officer found marijuana and 5.2 grams of meth.
On Nov. 20, a Mentone Police officer saw Jensen driving a vehicle and was aware Jensen had a warrant for his arrest from the September incident. The officer attempted to pull Jensen over, but Jensen began fleeing in his vehicle.
Indiana State Police also became involved in the pursuit, which ended in Syracuse. During the pursuit, Jensen traveled around 80 mph and disregarded stop signs. Jensen then left his vehicle and fled on foot, but eventually gave up.
However, he allegedly did not comply to officers’ commands immediately and pulled out a knife.
Inside Jensen’s vehicle, officers found meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Jensen has prior convictions for dealing meth, possession of chemical reagents, maintaining a common nuisance, and escape.
Jensen was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on Nov. 20.
