Food Bank Sets Mobile Food Distributions For December

SOUTH BEND — The Food Bank of Northern Indiana has set mobile food distributions for the month of December.
Assorted food items are offered free of charge to those in need of food assistance. All items are pre-boxed and pre-bagged. Food is available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. One box or bag of food is available per household.
Distributions are drive-thru events. Recipients are asked to remain in their vehicle and open their trunk to receive items. An area will be available for self-loading if your trunk does not open.
Area distributions include:
Kosciusko County
- 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Dec. 5, at the former Helping Hands Food Pantry, 10072 W. 600 S, Mentone. This distribution is sponsored by Managed Health Services and will provide U.S. Department of Agriculture products and serve 150 households.
Marshall County
- 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 430 Academy Road, Culver. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Marshall County and will serve 200 households.
- 10 a.m. to noon Monday, Dec. 9, at Argos United Methodist Church, 570 N. Michigan St., Argos. This is a produce-only event. This distribution is sponsored by MHS and will provide produce for 200 households.
- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, at Plymouth Parks, 1660 N. Michigan St. (by the pool parking lot), Plymouth. This distribution is sponsored by United Way of Marshall County and will serve 250 households.
