Whitko JV Squad Takes Two
SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko junior varsity softball team piled up the runs Saturday to win a pair.
The host Wildcats topped Columbia City 13-3 in game one and then 15-5 in the nightcap of a twin bill.
Winning pitcher Tori Silveus had three hits and four RBI in the game one win. She also collected nine strikeouts in the circle.
Emily Hughes had a home run and a double for Whitko. Tressa Keim had three hits, including a double and a triple, and Jamie Tolson added two hits.
Riley Insley had two triples and drove in three runs in the second game win.
Winning pitcher Andrea Snavley and Hughes each had two hits. Ashlynn Robbins also had two hits and Michaela Zumbrun a double for Whitko.
Whitko plays at Warsaw Tuesday night.
