Valley Softball Team Drops Two
ALBION – The Tippecanoe Valley softball team ran into a very tough foe on Saturday.
Host Central Noble swept past the Vikings 10-0 and 10-2 in a non-conference double dip.
The Cougars allowed just two hits in blanking Valley in the opener.
Tenaya Shull and Darian Dotson each had a hit for the Vikings. Kassidy Shepherd took the pitching loss.
The hosts completed the pair of wins with a 10-2 final in game two.
Danielle Adams and Kaitlyn Prater each had a hit and an RBI for the Vikings. Katie Gunter was the losing pitcher.
Valley rolled past conference foe Southwood 16-5 earlier in the week. The Vikings piled up 15 hits and host Southwood had nine errors in the Three Rivers Conference contest.
Adams led the way in the win with two hits and three RBI. Robyn Dunnuck had three hits and two RBI, while Diana Baca and Abby Betten each had two hits and drove in two runs. Gunter earned the pitching win.
Valley, now 8-11, will host Rochester Monday and host Wabash Wednesday in TRC games at 5 p.m.
