Warsaw Showcases Walk-N-Wander
The Walk-n-Wander outdoor exhibit that has long been anticipated was unveiled to a VIP crowd tonight. The exhibit, which is being described as an “urban outdoor art gallery,” features a total of 16 life-size, bronze statues throughout the downtown and Central Park areas and will be debuted to the public during tomorrow evening’s First Friday event (see related).
The sculptures depict life-like daily activities and are strategically placed to encourage interactions from the community. Poses include Monet painting the Warsaw Courthouse, a man cleaning windows, a mother reading to her child and even famous depictions such as a bronze version of “American Gothic” by Grant Wood.
The art gallery will be located within walking distance of the courthouse square. Brochures with a map to all of the sculptures and sponsor information are available at local businesses around the county. The brochure can also be downloaded at warsaw.in.gov.
