DTF Takes Three Into Custody
DTF officers started serving warrants at the Westhaven Mobile Home Park in Warsaw today. Undercover officers had previously purchased the prescription medication Hydrocodone at an undisclosed Warsaw location from Amanda Jo Fountain, 24, 3762 W. Old Road 30, Warsaw. Fountain was preliminarily charged with felony dealing a controlled substance/schedule I, II, or III and is being held on a $10,000 bond.
The second arrest resulted from a previous undercover investigation on June 25. Jordan Lee Woodcox, 21, Jasper, Ind., was arrested today and preliminarily charged with felony possession of two or more precursors after it was determined that he had assisted in the production of a methamphetamine lab with the intent to manufacture meth. Woodcox is being held on a $2,000 bond.The third person arrested, Samuel Effrien Alvarez, 33, Crescent Drive, Warsaw, is charged with a probation violation. His warrant stemmed from his original arrest of felony dealing cocaine on March 20.
Alvarez had previously sold cocaine on at least two occasions to undercover DTF officers before being arrested on warrants issued by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office. Alvarez is being held on a $25,000 bond.The arrest conducted were a cumulative effort by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Syracuse Police Department.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force consist of officers from the Syracuse Police Department and the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department that work as a dual-agency unit to combat the usage and sell of illegal and illicit drugs throughout the county.
