Renovation Project Begins At Pierceton Elementary
Phase one of a construction project at Pierceton Elementary School (PES) began today.
“Phase one for PES is the demolition of a couple classroom wings to make room for the new building,” said Steve Clason, superintendent of Whitko Community Schools.
The classrooms being torn down once housed the first and third grade classes. Those classes will be relocated for the next school year.
“We are pleased the project is getting off the ground and look forward to the beginning of construction soon,” Clason said.
The foundation for the new project is expected to go down at the end of July. Clason said this is going to be a completely new school.
