Velma Hoover
Velma V. Hoover, 99, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 4:11 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2012, in the Mason Health and Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw.
She was born June 25, 1913, in Kosciusko County to Clyde and Cora (Martz) Lackey. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church in Warsaw.
Mrs. Hoover is survived by her grandsons: Galen Deniston, Warsaw; and Ryan (Donna) Deniston, Palm Desert, Calif.; her stepdaughter: Jean Kehoe, Warsaw; and three step-granchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Chester Hoover; a daughter: Cheryl Deniston; her parents; two sisters: Naomi Cook and Irene Konkle; five brothers: Clarence Lackey, James Lackey, William Lackey, John Lackey and Robert Lackey; and one stepdaughter; two stepsons and three step-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. July 24 at the Mentone Cemetery in Mentone, Ind, with Rev. Gary Boschain of First Christian Church officiating..
