UPDATE: Accident On US 30
UPDATE: According to a report filed by Indiana State Police, at 3:24 p.m. on July 29, Allen J. Fuller, 30, 200 North, Warsaw, was traveling westbound on US 30 near 200 North in the left lane. A semi in the right lane began to change lanes.
Fuller hit his brakes to avoid a collision with the semi. The abrupt stop closed the gap between Fuller and the large INDOT utility truck, driven by Adam L. Vandegrift, 33, Old CR 17, Goshen.
Fuller again hit his brakes to stop for the traffic light at the intersection of of US 30 and 200 North. Vandegrift was unable to avoid the collision and rear-ended Fuller.
The INDOT truck sustained minimal damage. Fuller’s vehicle sustained intrusive damage to the rear of the vehicle. Damages are estimated up to $25,000.
BREAKING: Emergency personnel are responding to an accident that reportedly involved a Gradall construction truck and a passenger car on US 30 near Biomet.
According to Reporter John Faulkner, police state a passenger vehicle was rear ended near the intersection. The driver of the car and a child passenger were escorted to Kosciusko Community Hospital for complaints of pain.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department responded to the scene.
