As a new school year approaches, many of us are looking forward to meeting the teachers and other staff; the people who have the opportunity to influence students the most.
Teachers are obviously incredible people doing amazing things. In fact, according to newly appointed Warsaw Community School Corporation Superintendent, Dr. Hoffert, “I think [the most inspiring thing I have seen so far] is our teachers. I could give story after story that demonstrates how much they care.”
During our interview, he referred to the WCS Mission Statement, which was one of the reasons that he returned to Warsaw, “To inspire and equip all students to continuously acquire and apply knowledge and skills while pursuing their dreams and enriching the lives of others.”
He also referred to the WCS teachers as living examples of this by explaining that, “The teachers live and teach according to our mission statement. Pursuing dreams and enriching the lives of others sets us apart from surrounding communities, and is embedded in ours.”
He finished by saying this, “When I drop off my children at school in the morning, I know that they are in magnificent hands, and I am so thankful for that.” So, when you see a teacher, take a moment to say, “thank you,” as you remember all the amazing things they are doing for our community.
