Just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26, Warsaw Police Department and Multi-Township EMS were called to Center Street near the intersection of Lincoln Street in Warsaw for a multi-vehicle automobile accident.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident, but fortunately only one person complained of minor neck pain.

According to a WPD report, Nancy J. Sausaman, 56, of Warsaw, was westbound on Center Street and failed to notice a vehicle in front of her slowing for traffic. Sausaman rear-ended a vehicle, driven by Kathryn E. Fields, 29, of Mentone, which set of a chain-reaction collision involving four vehicles. Other drivers involved were Justin P. Arscott, 17, of Warsaw, and Amy J. Arscott, 47, Warsaw.

Fields complained of minor neck pain and was treated by EMS at the scene, but refused further medical attention.

Damages were estimated at up to $50,000.
