Ruth Ann Allen
Ruth Ann Allen, 83, of Warsaw, Ind., passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2014 in her residence.
On December 4, 1930, she was born in Cromwell, Ind., to John and Ina Pearl (Blankenship) Hale. She was united in marriage to Curtis Allen in August of 1949 in Warsaw. He preceded her in death on July 10, 1986.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Ruth graduated from Warsaw High School in 1948. She worked as a cook, dining room aide and dietary aide for Mason’s Health and Rehabilitation Center in Warsaw, retiring in 1999. She was also a member of Warsaw Church of God.
Ruth is survived by three children: Linda Allen, Warsaw, Wanda (Rick) Simison, Warsaw, and Ronald C. (Martha) Allen, Warsaw; two grandchildren: Chad (Jamie) King, Warsaw, and Troy King, Pierceton; five great grandchildren: Curtis, Cara, Casandra, Austin and Autumn; her great-great grandson: Aiden; her brother, John Hale Jr., Warsaw, and her sister-in-law, Fannie Hale, Silver Lake. She is also survived by two nephews: Tim and Danny Hale.
Ruth was also preceded in death by her three brothers: Glen Ivan “Jake” Hale, Denny Hale and Willis Hale; her granddaughter: Kristina King; her niece: Dianna Rixter; and her nephew: Paul Hale.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 in Warsaw Church of God with Pastor Tim Kumfer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Visitation hours will be from 5–8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw.
