Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation announces the launch of a new district website.
Following several months of planning, the new website was launched on Oct. 3. Visitors can see the fresh, new look of the Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation website by visiting http://www.tvsc.k12.in.us.
Why the new look?
During the first semester of the 2013-2014 school year, the TVSC Strategic Planning Committee met several times to develop a new plan to help lead and guide the district in the coming years. Several areas were addressed during this planning time, one of which was communications. The first goal identified was to more efficiently use all forms of media to communicate with our students, parents and community.
The first priority in achieving this goal is to revamp the district website with a new and fresh look while providing easy access to information and resources to our students, parents, and staff.
During the planning process, a new site map was developed, which lead to the design and creation of the landing page as well as each subsequent page on the site. Visitors to the website will find new quick links to content across the top of the page designed for parents, staff and students.
These quick links will take the user to important information targeted for each group. For example, on the parents page are found additional links which include enrollment, E-Funds, parent access to student information and many others.
Other areas of interest include a link to school board information where meeting agendas and meeting minutes will be posted, latest news articles, upcoming events and many others.
As Tippecanoe Valley strives to more efficiently use all forms of media we are launching additional initiatives using other resources as well. Facebook is being used to send out information. Be sure to check out Tippecanoe Valley’s Facebook page at Https://www.facebook.com/TippecanoeValley.
The public can also follow Tippecanoe Valley on twitter @tippecanoevlly or search for Tippecanoe Valley SC.
Administrators and teachers are increasingly utilizing email for parent contact, as well as our traditional news articles in the local news publications, mailings, and expanded telephone contacts.
