Frosh Tigers Top Panthers
NAPPANEE – The Warsaw freshman football team picked up a 27-20 win at NorthWood Thursday night.
Will McGarvey scored a pair of touchdowns to pace the winning Tigers, who are now 7-1 overall and 5-1 in the NLC on the season.
Luke Delp tossed touchdown passes to Jack Tucker and Khyle Kuhn for the Tigers.
Kendall Miller led the Warsaw defense with eight tackles. Lane McClone and Daniel Deanties each had five tackles.
Brayton Yoder scored all three touchdowns for the host Panthers, who are now 4-4. Jacob Chupp rushed for 178 yards on 20 carries for NorthWood.
Warsaw hosts Concord Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. and NorthWood plays at New Prairie Oct. 23 in both team’s season finales.
