Memory Making Monday
Join us at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 for Memory Making Monday. Come and make some wonderful holiday cards or work on your scrapbooking pages. Our library’s cricut machine is available to use for that time too. Join Melinda Roose for a relaxing, creative evening of crafting fun.
After School is Cool
Can you smell the popcorn popping? Hear the rustle of people finding their seats? Tuesday, Nov. 4 is Movie Day for After School is Cool. Join Miss Shari as we watch a newly released movie based on the story of Sleeping Beauty. Come watch the movie, enjoy a snack and the company of others at 3:30 p.m.Tuesday, Nov. 4. Remember that each After School is Cool you attend earns you 10 points. When you have 40 points, you can choose a paperback book to add to your home library.
Fall Storytime
The temperatures are falling, and so are the leaves. As it gets colder outside, soup becomes a favorite meal. Join Miss Malea this week for fall storytime. Come at 10:15 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, or 7 p.m. and Thursday, Nov. 6 for “Soup’s On!”. Listen to Miss Malea read Stone Soup by Marcia Brown and A Soup Opera by Jim Gill. After listening to stories, we will work together to make Stone Soup. All children ages 3-6 are invited to join us for story time. You can register for story time by calling (574) 658-4312 and asking for the Children’s Department. There are only a few weeks of story time left so register today.
Family Movie Day
Grab your friends and family and come to the library at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 for Family Movie Day. Come and watch a newly released movie based on the story of Sleeping Beauty. Afternoon Knitting Club
Knitting Club is meeting from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 in the teen area of the library. Bring a knitting project and get help from experienced knitters. Even if you’ve never picked up a pair of knitting needles before, you’ll find plenty of help to get you started. The knitting club meets on the first and third Friday of every month. Come and make a homemade gift for someone in your family as we approach the holiday season.
Lego Crew
“To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of stuff.” – Thomas Edison. LEGO Crew is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Nov. 8. On the second Saturday of each month, we will get together and let our imaginations run wild. Build fantastic buildings, towns or animals. LEGO Crew meets in the library’s meeting room. Children ages five and up, accompanied by an adult, are welcome to join the fun. We will provide the LEGO’s, you provide your creativity and imagination.
