James D. Clark
James D. Clark, 62, of Pierceton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at his brother’s home.
He was born on June 10, 1952, in Harlan County, Ky., to Oscar Howard and Grace Ellen (Cody) Clark.
He and his family moved from Kentucky to South Whitley in 1972. He had worked at Dalton, Carey Construction and Star Light in Pierceton. For over 20 years, Darrell worked at Alfe Heat Treat. He retired in 2008.
Survivors include his sisters: Melinda Taulbee, Columbia City; Brenda (Lance) Colbert, Williamstown, Ky.; Joyce (Jim) Sherman, Cromwell; Lisa (Mike Gulley) Barrett, Warsaw; brothers: Ron Clark, Fort Wayne; Bruce Clark, Columbia City; and many loving nieces and nephews including his “boys”: Jake, Junior and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: William Clark; and nieces: Brandy Clark and Jennifer Jones.
Visitation will be held at 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr., Columbia City. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at South Park (Annex) Cemetery.
Memorials may be made in Darrell’s memory to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
