A Christmas Story Coming To Wagon Wheel
By WILL DAWSON
Executive Director, Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts
Thankfully Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts production of A Christmas Story: The Musical will be less dangerous than a Red Ryder Carbine Action BB gun. The only warning label we can offer reads, “If you are planning on attending the Dec. 5 through Dec. 21 production you’d better purchase tickets now. They are selling fast”.
Chances are the movie is one of your holiday traditions. Come experience the live musical version that brings Ralphie, The Old Man, Santa Claus and the whole bunch to Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts.
Ralphie Parker wants only one thing for Christmas: An Official Red Ryder® Carbine-Action 200-shot Range Model Air Rifle. A Christmas Story: The Musical is the hilarious account of Ralphie’s desperate quest to ensure that this most perfect of gifts ends up under his tree this Christmas.
This new Broadway musical based on the classic 1983 movie, which itself was based on stories by legendary radio humorist Jean Shepherd, features funny and heartfelt songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and a faithful yet inventive book by Joseph Robinette. A Christmas Story captures holiday wonder with such deliciously wicked wit that it is sure to delight children and grown-ups alike!!
