Erba Earns Plenty Of Honors
TERRE HAUTE – Zac Erba has been named to the third-team All-America squad by the website usacollegefootball.org.
Erba, a WCHS graduate, is a senior tight end at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
The award continues a strong postseason of honors for Erba, who was also named first-team all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference and chosen to the second-team Capital One Academic All-America squad for his efforts on the field and in the classroom. Erba was also a second-team Capital One Academic All-American in track and field last spring.
Erba hauled in 21 pass receptions for 289 yards at the tight end position, increasing his career statistical totals to 37 catches for 498 yards and three touchdowns. He was recognized as one 300 of the NCAA Division III All-Americans among its three national teams by usacollegefootball.org.
Erba was a three-sport standout at WCHS in football, wrestling and track. The son of Scott and Karen Erba, he was the salutatorian of his Senior Class at WCHS.
Rose-Hulman set five single-game individual school records, seven single-game individual team records, 12 single-season individual records, and 13 single-season team records in a historic 7-3 season this fall that featured the most prolific offensive attack in school history.
