Kerlin Honored For Giving Back
WARSAW – Camille Kerlin proved this past summer just how big and how strong her heart really is.
The WCHS senior will now get to share her story with all of her classmates as a 2015 Riley Champion.
Kerlin, a member of the WCHS girls tennis team, used her “Racquets For Riley” tennis fundraiser last July to raise money for the Riley Children’s Foundation and the Kosciusko County Riley Kids Foundation.
Kerlin has been honored as a Riley Champion for her philanthropic spirit and fundraising efforts, which netted more than $12,000.
Kerlin had a myriad of health problems early on in her life, including heart trouble as a premature baby, and spent time at Riley’s Children’s Hospital and had surgeries performed there.
A convocation for Kerlin will be held Jan. 23 at 2 p.m. at WCHS. People will get to hear Kerlin’s story and also learn how to get involved with Warsaw’s Riley Dance Marathon.
