Steven Curtis Chapman Coming To Wagon Wheel
By HANNAH SCHUTTER
Director of Marketing, Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts
It’s not every day that the most awarded Christian music performer travels to Warsaw. Steven Curtis Chapman will be appearing at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts to perform a mixture of his number one hits and songs from his newest (and 18th) album. The certified platinum recording artist will be here for one night only, and you don’t want to miss out.
Chapman released his first album in 1987 and has since gone on to sell over 11 million copies in addition to having nearly 50 number one Christian radio hits. “I’m very, very grateful to be given the opportunity to make music and share the things that I feel like God has entrusted to me,” said Chapman. When he isn’t making music, Chapman, the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Music from nearby Anderson University, is busy doing philanthropic work.
From one Anderson graduate to another, local singer/songwriter (and Anderson University graduate) Nick Stanton takes the stage as opener for Chapman. Stanton, who is currently the worship leader at Warsaw Community Church, opened for Christian recording artists Sanctus Real at the Wagon Wheel back in 2012. Stanton will perform original songs from his latest album Set My Sail.
Tickets to see Steven Curtis Chapman go on sale Feb. 4 and will go fast; make sure to buy them early. Front row tickets cost $55 and all others cost $45 (with an additional $3 processing fee). Performances will be at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26. For more information call (574) 267-8041 or visit wagonwheeltheatre.org.
