WCHS Golf Offering First Tee Program
WARSAW – After a successful run last year, the Warsaw boys’ golf team and coaches are again offering the First Tee Program, a five-week recreational program for kids grades K-third to offer further advancement in golf development through golf related activities using Snag Golf.
“The program we teach consists of activities that help children become a better golfer by learning the basic fundamentals, and builds their character,” explains Ben Barkey, WCHS boys’ golf coach. “The First Tee Program is meant to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf,” Barkey added.
This program benefits the WCHS boys’ golf team as a fundraiser.
The session for K-first grades is from 5:30-6:30. The session for second and third graders will run from 6:45-7:45. All sessions will be held at the Washington STEM Academy in the gym. Parents are welcome to stay and watch during the sessions.
The cost is $60 per child for five practices and the registration deadline is Friday, Feb. 6. Spots for the program are limited.
