At Tuesday afternoon’s Board of Avaiation Commissioners meeting, Airport Manager Nick King reported, “We had a good month. A quiet month.”

Despite winter conditions, King stated, “We never had to close the airport. We were all here as much as possible trying to keep the runways open.” King credited the street department with assisting in such efforts, “The street department brought out there new snow blower.”

Board President Jay Rigdon stated his appreciation for the efforts to keep the runways clear, “We appreciate the hard work by the city and we appreciate the hard work that everyone out here does to keep the runways open.” The board also signed off on all of the hangar lease agreements.

In the engineer’s report by Ken Ross it was stated that the the environmental assessment for power line relocation at the airport is ready to submit to the Federal Aviation Administration. A copy will be brought to the Warsaw Airport for anyone who wishes to review the draft.

As far as the plan for an update to the airport’s layout, it was stated that exhibits are being prepared for the various runway intersection options. Their exhibits will be made available for the airport and users to review.

A pay request was also submitted by Ross for the recent guidance sign installation project at the airport. The total amount of $47,356 was approved unanimously.
