AWL Fundraiser: Brew, Bow-Wow and Meow
By DARLA MCCAMMON
Executive Director, Animal Welfare League
From 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, Jason and Emily Traycoff will be turning their charming establishment in Syracuse, Westmain Tavern, into a tasting from the taps, a new fundraiser benefiting the Animal Welfare League.
Visitors will be treated to two pints or four half-pints from the Upland Brewing Company plus a pouring list, a special gift from the brewing company, and door prizes throughout the evening. Attendees will also have an opportunity to purchase and browse artwork by local artists. The artwork was created to support the Animal Welfare League in their ongoing efforts to provide sanctuary and find homes for stray and unwanted pets.
In addition to the brew tasting, Westmain Tavern will be serving a limited chalk-board special menu. Cost for this special menu will not be included in the ticket price.
Tickets will be sold in advance for $35 and there are no reservations. Must be 21 years of age to enter. The event promises to be very popular and will allow patrons the opportunity to sample and enjoy a variety of craft brews. Entrance, if not sold out, will be $45 at the door.
