Tippecanoe Valley Adult Education Classes Announced

Schedule of upcoming classes:
Drawing 101
Explore the basics of good drawing, contour drawing, shading, and drawing with perspective in a class taught by Brenda Ramseier. This two hour class costs $48 and includes all materials. The class is held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on the following Thursdays: March 5, March 12, March 19 and March 26.
Magic and Mystery of Watercolor
Jan Ginther teaches these three classes on how to utilize color and mix paints. Complete a project using watercolor techniques. Cost is $15 per class or $40 for all three classes. It will meet from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, March 10 and March 17.
Learning to Needle Felt
One three hour session and you’ll learn to construct a three dimensional critter with a wire armature, cover and sculpt with wool roving. This class costs $15 and all supplies will be provided. Jan Ginther also teaches this class, which runs from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 31.
Zumba
Ditch the workout and join the party with teacher Eva Rudd from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Cost is $3 per class.
Open Weight Room
Cardio, weights, brand new treadmills, elliptical machines and stationary equipment are all available to the public free of charge from 6:30 a.m. until 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday and from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
Open Swim
The pool is available for open swim at the cost of $2 per person from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Open swim is sponsored by the Tippecanoe Valley Aquatic Club.
Amateur Radio Technician Class and Hoosier Lakes Radio Club
Amateur radio is the back up communications system for all emergencies, but you have to be licensed. This class will prepare you for the license test and you will be able to join others in the world of amateur radio. The cost of this class, taught by instructors Lyle Long and Loren Melton is $30 and includes all study materials, lunch and snacks. Registration and fees are due by Thursday, March 5. Orientation begins from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m March 12 and the classes run from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, April 18 and Wednesday, April 22.
