Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
9:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, South SR 15, north of West CR 550S, Claypool. Driver: Mallory B. Daughenbaugh, 17, South Peru Road, Silver Lake. Daughenbaugh complained of pain to the knee/lower leg/foot. Driver lost control of her vehicle, went off the roadway rolling at least twice. Damage up to $2,500.
3:27 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, South County Farm Road, north of West CR 700S, Claypool. Driver: Tonyette R. Kintzel, 44, Western Drive, Winona Lake. Kintzel swerved to miss a deer and lost control of her vehicle due to slick roads, hitting a utility pole. Damage up to $25,000.
8:48 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, East Kyle Road, North Webster. Driver: Stephen J. Miller, 27, West Van Buren Street, Leesburg. Miller’s vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, hitting a boulder and sign. Damage up to $5,000.
7:24 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, East Old Road 30, east of South CR 250E, Warsaw. Driver: Christina S. Wilson, 35, North CR 300E, Warsaw. Hit deer. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
9:48 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, Jalynn Street south of North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Kory J. Stoneburner-Betts, 21, West Main St., Mentone, and Abel A. Sanchez Navichoque, 63, Lavista Drive, Warsaw. Stoneburner-Bretts vehicle struck the Navichoque vehicle while turning right on red. Damage up to $2,500.
12:57 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, East Center Street and South Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: unknown and Edward L. Rake 31, West Perry Street, Warsaw. Rake’s vehicle was struck from behind by an unknown driver who left the area. Damage up to $1,000.
10:23 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, West Winona Avenue and South Buffalo Street, Warsaw. Driver: Madison L. Neeley, 20, West 25S, Etna Green. Injured Kyle j. Fall, 27, EMS D17 Lane, Syracuse, suffering a fracture dislocation to the hip/upper leg. Neeley stated Fall walked into traffic in front of her vehicle and she could not avoid the accident. Fall was taken to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. Fall was given a portable breathalyzer test showing an alcohol content of .19. Damage up to $2,500.
11:18 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, East Center Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Justin N. Stover, 34, North Warsaw-Oswego Road, Warsaw, and Donald R. Ferverda, 67, South Edgewater Drive, Silver Lake. Stover’s vehicle slid into the Ferverda vehicle while attempting to park. Damage up to $5,000.
