Spring Break Childcare At The YMCA
By SUMMER ZIMMER
Kosciusko Community YMCA
Make sure your kids don’t get bored this Spring Break; send them to the Spring Break Camp at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA at 1305 Mariners Drive. Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 10, kids will spend each day jam packed with learning and activity.
The program runs from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. for children kindergarten through the 6th grade. There are several exciting activities planned this year.
On Monday, the kids will go to Notre Dame to take a tour of the historical buildings and campus. On Tuesday they’ll visit the Fort Wayne Botanical Gardens. They’ll visit the Sheets Wildlife Museum in Huntington on Wednesday, and learn about animal conservation and wildlife. On Thursday they’ll visit a train museum in Elkhart. They’ll take a trip to the McMillen Center in Fort Wayne on Friday. Throughout the week they’ll also play group games, take Kickboxing, watch movies and have free time to play.
Kids need to bring a sack lunch and tennis shoes to the Y each day and be dressed for outdoor activities. Registration forms will be available for those who are not already registered as part of our Kids’ Club program. Pre-registration and pre-payment are required for all participants. A late fee will be added after April 3. All parents must sign their children in to Spring Break Childcare.
The Y is the leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. All the efforts and offerings of the Kosciusko Community YMCA are guided by the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Every day, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure everyone regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. In 2014, the Kosciusko Community YMCA provided $151,560 in financial assistance to make sure that happens.
