Frantz Tabbed For All-Star Game
MISHAWAKA – A trio of players from the Northern Lakes Conference are scheduled to take part in the girls’ portion of the McDonald’s Michiana High School All-Star Basketball Games.
The girls/boys doubleheader will take place on March 30 in the Wiekamp Center on the Bethel College campus.
Highlighting the girls’ selections for the game is NorthWood standout Jordyn Frantz. The senior guard, who has signed to play at Saint Louis University, led the Panthers to the NLC title during the 2014-15 campaign.
The girls’ game is also slated to include Taylor Miller of Northridge and Alexsis Miller of Elkhart Memorial.
Penn and South Bend Washington are each slated to have three players in the game. The trio of Claire Carlton. Lauren Ellenberger and Casey Morton will represent Penn, which won a Class 4-A sectional title. The Washington trio of Tiara Murphy, Camille Coleman and Taylor Wesley will represent the Panthers, who won the Northern Indiana Conference championship. Star guard Murphy is scheduled to play at Purdue next season.
Also chosen for the game were the duo of Madeline Raster and Michelle Weaver from South Bend St. Joseph, Danielle Davis and Lucy Presnal from South Bend Adams, Kyler Columbia of Glenn, Kyleigh Kubik from LaPorte, Lindsay Kusbel from Lake Central, Lauren Grewe from Mishawaka and Angela Lewellen from Culver.
The girls’ game will begin at 5 p.m. with the boys to follow at 7:15 on March 30. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for students with those ages 12 and under admitted for free.
