UPDATE: Fire Reported At Mason Health Care
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory was called at 10:12 p.m. Thursday to Mason Health Care, 900 Provident Drive, Warsaw, where they found a working fire in the laundry room.
Fire crews extinguished the fire and used fans to remove smoke from hallways and rooms. Fire crews were on the scene until 4:25 a.m. today (Friday, March 27).
Residents were evacuated to other health care facilities or to family’s homes. The relocation was completed by Mason Health Care staff, Multi-Township EMS, WInona Lake Fire, Warsaw Fire and numerous EMS agencies from norhtern Indiana.
Assisting agencies: Winona Lake Fire, Multi-Township EMS, Kosciusko County Health Department, Warsaw Police Department, Pierceton Fire, Claypool Fire, Leesburg Fire, Emergency Management, state fire marshal’s office and multiple EMS agencies from Northern Indiana.
It is unknown at this time how long before Mason Health Care will be able to re-open. According to Warsaw-Wayne Township Fire Chief Mike Brubaker work will need to be completed to remove water and get the facility back up to working order.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
American Red Cross disaster volunteers from Kosciusko county were also on the scene last evening at Mason Health Care to provide canteen service for firefighters and emergency responders.

Warsaw Fire Department, assisted by Winona Lake Fire Department, are responding to a fire in the laundry room at Mason Health Care, 900 Provident Drive, Warsaw.
Firefighters are investigating the fire with residents being evacuated from the area.
